I-Joists
I-Joists are structurally engineered timber joists, which combine ULTRA-LAM LVL with an engineered composite panel
Making them light weight but very strong– they can carry far heavier loads than a conventional timber joist of its equivalent weight.
I-Joists are constructed from a web which is sandwiched between two flanges, on top and on the bottom. These are assembled glued, pressed and heat cured. This produces an I shaped cross section which gives the I-Joist its name. Applications include floor and roof joists, wall studs and roof rafters in both residential and commercial construction.
